Our primary mission is to provide a safe, secure place for local depositors to invest their savings and to reinvest their deposits primarily in home mortgage loans which enable our borrowers to buy, build, and repair homes in our local community.

CONTROLLER/INTERNAL AUDIT SUPERVISOR
We are looking to hire an experienced Controller/Internal Audit Supervisor at one of the city’s oldest Community Banks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the day-to-day activities in the accounting department, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing and assisting with budget preparation, and aids in preparing the public filings. Experience with quarterly and annual public filings, 3 years of accounting experience and CPA required. Through a grant with the Federal Home Loan Bank, Fifth District Savings Bank received two grants totaling $690,000 to support Gulf Coast Housing Partnership on two separate projects that will create 46 housing units in Hammond, Louisiana. Both developments will be built to the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety’s (IBHS) FORTIFIED Multifamily Gold standard, designed to provide the highest possible protection against severe weather such as high winds, hail, hurricanes and tornadoes.
