Established in 1926, Fifth District is a federal mutual savings association. Our goal is to support the New Orleans area by offering a variety of quality financial products with service that exceeds our customers' expectations.

We keep and service every loan we make right here within our bank. We do not sell our loans to third-party institutions.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to provide a safe, secure place for local depositors to invest their savings and to reinvest their deposits primarily in home mortgage loans which enable our borrowers to buy, build, and repair homes in our local community.

CONTROLLER/INTERNAL AUDIT SUPERVISOR

We are looking to hire an experienced Controller/Internal Audit Supervisor at one of the city’s oldest Community Banks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the day-to-day activities in the accounting department, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing and assisting with budget preparation, and aids in preparing the public filings. Experience with quarterly and annual public filings, 3 years of accounting experience and CPA required. COMMERCIAL LOAN PROCESSOR

We are looking to hire an experienced Commercial Loan Processor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Commercial Loan Officer with obtaining financial data; preparing and reviewing closing documents; maintaining loan files; and providing exceptional customer service. FRONTLINE STAFF
We are looking to hire energetic and dependable individuals to fill frontline positions at one of the city’s oldest Community Banks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing prompt, efficient processing of transactions; providing a high level of customer service; and verifying accuracy of transactional data. Banking experience is not required; however, experience in a customer service setting is preferred. Through a grant with the Federal Home Loan Bank, Fifth District Savings Bank received two grants totaling $690,000 to support Gulf Coast Housing Partnership on two separate projects that will create 46 housing units in Hammond, Louisiana. Both developments will be built to the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety’s (IBHS) FORTIFIED Multifamily Gold standard, designed to provide the highest possible protection against severe weather such as high winds, hail, hurricanes and tornadoes.
